Floating Homes

While in Victoria we encountered so many 'firsts' for all of us.
Down on the water, there are actually floating neighbourhoods. They are comprised of floating homes, which go for quite a steep price. The neighbourhoods are basically private property, so nobody has to worry about their own safety or privacy.
The area is quite mild in comparison to the rest of the country.
Have you ever seen a floating home?

I can honestly say I have never seen a floating home as such except for barges on canals which people live in

@Ineeddentures I don't think that I would like the constant slight rocking so much as I would a place along the water's edge but on solid land.

I've seen houseboats, is that what you mean? Or is this an actual house on a floating platform?

I've heard about floating homes in Vietnam but I've never seen one.

I’ve seen quite a few videos about people who live on a houseboat; or, in England, canal boats. It’s very interesting to watch, but I’d be afraid of getting seasick.
