Intention vs. Motivation

Intention is different. It’s quieter. Steadier. More honest. Motivation says, “I’ll start when I feel ready.” Intention says, “I’ll start anyway.” Motivation depends on how you feel. Intention depends on who you’re becoming. And the truth is—you won’t always feel inspired, confident, or driven. But if your intention is clear, you’ll keep showing up… even on the days no one sees it. What's your take on this?

Intention to me implies a short- or long-term goal, and the acts one plans to use to achieve it. Motivation is about the reward one receives from achieving said goal. Psychologists often refer to intrinsic v. extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic would be "I play piano because I love the pretty sounds I make. Extrinsic would be "I play piano because my parents said they would buy me a new bicycle if I can learn 'Fur Elise.'"

I think motivation is more on the reward side not on emotional side. Intention is something we must all have, lol! The intention to do things even if you do not feel like doing it. I think being intentional is the best thing to have as a character or hobby.. so we can do a lot of things.

Motivation refers to the reasons that drive a person to act. Intention focuses on what a person plans to do to reach that goal, as correctly @TheHorse states.
