I have decided to return to my hometown this week after receiving good news from my attorney a few weeks ago. The land title from my late father has finally been transferred to my name. I need to go home to collect the documents from my attorney and visit the property to assess what I could do with the house and lot he left behind. I am still undecided whether to sell the property or make good use of it, but I hope to reach a decision before returning to Manila.
It took two years and numerous transactions with various government agencies before the transfer was finally completed and the land was in my name. Now that it’s officially mine, I can do whatever I want with it. However, I still need to decide what’s best for the property, especially since it’s a bit far from where I currently live.

Just got back from the trip, and I somewhat enjoyed the long journey home. Being an introvert, I didn’t socialize much and focused mainly on the tasks I needed to complete. However, I did meet a friend there, and we had a great time catching up and sharing stories about how life has been over the past few years. We even attended a city event where the local government launched its own tourism campaign, which wrapped up with a small concert in the evening.

@JudyEv That is true I have visited the place and got dismayed after several months left neglected the property has already got worst. I organized with the help of my friend there to gather someone who could clean and clear the property from the grass and trees that had grown over the property. The house is still standing but it sustained damages from neglect. Now I am rethinking what is best for that property. Renovating it seems to entail a lot of cost and still thinking if its practical to do so.
