Doing remote work and study today

Our apartment complex is having a scheduled power outage and maintenance today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No power generators would be available either (ergo, no working elevators) so there's no use staying on our 14th floor unit in this terrible heat. Anyway, I headed out before 8 a.m., walked my daughter to school and had breakfast at the school cafeteria. Good thing the caf had my favorite beef tapa, rice and egg. It was a good working breakfast. I brought my laptop with me so I could do a bit of writing work and a bit of online studying. I recently signed up for 2 online courses: EMI (English as Medium of Instruction), and Introduction to Early Childhood Care and Development Services. Both courses, if completed, will grant National Certification I to III. I thought I could learn more from these courses since I'm currently writing English supplements for young learners using our current K to 12 Matatag curriculum. These courses are self-paced (perfect for people like me who have short attention span. ). It's 12:51 p.m. I've moved here to the school's parent's lounge to continue my lessons and to check on myLot. The wifi here is a lot faster than at home and I get to enjoy the air conditioning. . Might as well try to be productive while waiting for power to be restored at the condominium. How's your week going so far?

It's busy but manageable. That's good you have a place to stay at and do some productive things.

I wouldn't have thought of doing offline work at the school. Good job thinking of that! I hope your studies go well. We started getting storms and heavy rain yesterday and it will keep happening most of this week. I'm staying inside where it's comfortable.
