The average person replace their phones every 3-4 years, however, some people dont like carrying out repairs, hence they replace their phone if there is a major fault. Which of these categories do you belong, do you replace your phone if it suffers a major fault or repair it and change it every 3-4 years?

When I was still working, I was the phone salesman in a local store. I needed to have the latest model so I could demonstrate on my own phone for people looking to buy a new one. Since then, I've only done one phone replacement in 7 years. I did that replacement a couple of months ago.
I don't care for iPhones and wouldn't pay for the newest Samsung phones. $1,000 or more is too much money to waste on something that is easily broken. I prefer Motorola phones and just bought the Moto G Power 5 G, which should last me another 5 or 6 years. (It has one of the largest batteries available for a cellphone. I can charge it today and use it for 5 or 6 days before I need to recharge it. I talk on the phone, send and receive text messages and read my ebooks on it in that time.)

@ogbenishyna44 Yes and my daughter is still using my last phone. Motorola builds them well. Of course, I bought their midrange phone that focuses on battery life and solid performance. Obviously, it has lasted well so I wanted something that would last at least as well and give great service, too.
How well does your current phone do with battery life and great service?
