Need To Rant

I got a text yesterday about an appt on May 6th. I didn't know I had one, and it didn't say where or what time the appt was. I went on line to the hospital where the text came from. Apparently any doctor who is associated with the hospital is under the Hospital Name. Anyway, the chat box said to call my surgeon's office. I called and found out I had 2 appointments with him in May that I had no idea about. The HUMAN I talked to told me to call the hospital scheduling number. I called the number she gave me. I ran into ANOTHER phone robot. I asked what it could do for me...I told IT that I wanted a HUMAN BEING! So I was connected to a Human lady. She tells me yes I have an appt for breathing tests.I asked her where. She gave me the address of the hospital. I told her I knew where the hospital was..Where INSIDE the hospital was my appt!!!!! She said I should go into the front entrance and go to the front desk and they would tell me where to go. By then I was so ticked off I yelled at her...You Schedule appointments and you have no idea where those appointments are in the hospital? She said she was not in Panama City. OMG! She then said she could connect me to the front desk of the hospital. The Human Lady I talked to there told me when I came to the desk to ask for a wheel chair and they would take me to my appt. By the time I got to THIS lady, I was so aggravated with Phone Robots and people..Since going through all those other tests and having so much trouble with rescheduling an appointment with my Cancer doctor so I can learn more about what they can do for me...I am Stressed out. It just seems to me that they could atleast have a Human Being who actually Answers the Phone! So tired of Robots, Text Messages, Emails, etc. It just seems doctors have no idea who important Human Contact is when you are going through cancer or ANY disease. I have more Human contact with my General Practioner's office than ANY of the Specialists I go to! Sad ! Okay..rant is over for now...But is anyone else tired of dealing with these Phone Robots saying press 1 for English?

I can’t imagine how frustrating that is. It’s bad enough when it’s for a regular appointment, but when it’s for something as serious as cancer then it’s ten times more frustrating.

Yes. I've gotten into phone systems in which it is impossible to get a live human being. It's so frustrating. I hope everything works out for you.

I get irritated with the whole system. If a dr feels like you need a test or consultation they schedule it for you and let you know when it is. Sometimes they don't call you back and then sometimes you don't even know where you're going. They did it when my dad was diagnosed with cancer and I swear we blew up on the phone at people multiple times between phone robots and auto scheduling. It's such a pain and to me inconsiderate.

Yes, I have the same feeling when I got scammed and I could not contact a real human being to deal or settle it. I think all companies should be more sensitive and would not just rely on robots.

wave! I'm tired with it too. I remember last month, dealing with AI auto reply and I got frustrated too because my concern is not even in the option provided. So I keep telling I need a real agent. Glad they provided and my concern is easily fixed.
