Flatwoods Louisiana resident Tyler Brownlee was on his way to work in the timber line of work on Thursday April 23 before dawn when he noticed smoke coming out of his neighbors home.
Tyler who used to be a volunteer firefighter took action to knock on the door to get a couple who were inside their burning home to get out of the house before it was too late.
Firefighters from the Flatwoods Fire Department arrived to put out the fire. Even though the house was destroyed, no one was hurt in the fire which is being investigated by the authorities.
The house that was burned down did not have a smoke detector inside of the home.

I'm glad no one was hurt and that Tyler alerted the couple to get out.
