One of those kind of days. George and I took an impromptu ride to ALdi, and the store was completely turned around and rearanged from the last time I'd been in it last. The store hasn't had an eletric cart for months, because someone left it out in the rain, despite being told not to take them out in the rain. I tried to argue that some people need to take the carts to their cars, because they need the help, but the security guard wasn't having it. She assumes that if you can walk into a store, you can walk out of it. I know from personal experince, between being a caregiver for George, and my own personal experienceses, you can use up your energy fast. At the same time, those carts aren't designed to be used outdoors. They did have the manual wheelchair, and because I needed the basket, I used it instead of my own. I had to because carrying detergent on my lap isn't an easy task. At least there was someone who helped me get the stuff in our van and take the chair back to Aldi. Each time I go in there, I'm reminded why I hate going there. At least I don't go there often, a couple times a year, and that's fine by me. But.... I refuse to spend fifteen dollars on one thing of detergent with odd smells, when I can get three of the brand I like for the same price.

@rakski Neither do I. Well strong smells in general.

They don't have any carts? That's a problem.

Not the eletric carts that are commonly found in large stores.

@LindaOHio I have rarely run into that problem.

@kaylachan Yes. Our Walmart has electric carts but often they need a charge.

I had some experience with Aldi and Publix and then went over to Walmart when I knew they did all the shopping and delivering straight from their store.

Well both ALdi and Publix use Instacart, which is a third-party service completely out of their control. Walmart is my favorite because I can use my OTC card as a paymethod. But I hate it in general because stuff gets missed or forgotten sometimes.

Luckily here, my experiences at all our Aldi stores are always good ones. Never had an issue there.

Other than no eletric cart, and the sudden change in design for me was it for this last trip. I do like Aldi in general, though.
