If you were on trial, would you trust a perfectly programmed AI lawyer over a human one who might have a 'bad day'? Why or why not?"
Hey everyone! Happy Friday!
I was just reading a news clip about how AI is starting to handle more legal work, and it got me thinking about a pretty wild "what if" scenario.
Imagine you’re standing in court and you have two choices for your defense:
1. A perfectly programmed AI lawyer: It knows every law ever written, never forgets a fact, and has zero emotions.
2. A seasoned human lawyer: They’re brilliant and have "gut instincts," but they’re also human—maybe they didn’t sleep well, or they’re just having a "bad day."
Honestly, I think I’d still pick the human lawyer. There’s just something about human intuition and the ability to read a room (or a jury) that a computer code can’t replicate. Plus, I’d want someone who actually understands the stakes on an emotional level!
And since i am a law graduate, i dont want that ai will replace me in the future, in case i pass the bar and become the lawyer.

I will take a human lawyer since they can use emotional arguments to win cases.

Lawyers are £250 an hour here so yes as it will slash that price in the long run
