The caterpillar infested bush has gone ……

So, we found out where the millions of caterpillars came from. We had a smallish bush in the front garden. We noticed that it was dying off, the back had gone. It looked like it had been attacked by something ….some disease….. Anyway, last Monday when we got home from the caravan The Mister cut some of it away. I did not know this. It went in the garden refuse bin which is kept in the carport. It was very warm in there and that’s what brought the caterpillars out. Now the front of the bush has gone too. One of the first jobs that The Mister did when he got home today was to remove the bush from the garden. The remaining hundreds….i kid you not ! ….of caterpillars have been redirected to a nearby tree. I don’t want to go through all that again ! What are you up to today ?

@Wrexxo. If had known The Mister had cut some of the bush out I may have connected the two things but he hadn’t told me. At least now it has been sorted …..

Your hubby probably cut the bush back and put the limbs in the trash can in the garage. He was hoping they'd block your entrance back into the house so you'd have to call him to rescue you from all the crawly critters. OF course, he won't admit that now but I bet he was grinning from ear to ear when he heard about the problem... You do realize the caterpillars will come back looking for the rest of the bush, right? Through your carport, to check in the dumpster and then out to the garden to search for the bush... And then into the house since they know you love them so much.

Hundreds of caterpillars is really gross. I'm glad they're gone. Nothing going on here today.
