First PT Appointment Went Very Well

Hey all, I had my first physical therapy appointment for my hip on Monday. I was able to get with my favorite therapist from past years. I'm glad she's still there, because some folks I worked with have retired. She's young, though, so hopefully she will stick around. We did three exercises for my hip, and those are very easy to do at home. She recommended that I do two appointments per week, but unfortunately they are very booked up, so it was just one this week. I will have to wait for next week to start doing two.
She spotted something my doctor didn't! He didn't seem to know what was wrong with me, but she said she thinks I have a tear in my labrum, which is the disk of cartilage in the hip joint. I looked up more information about this when I got home, and it fit with all my symptoms. Not sure why my doctor didn't spot this, and I'm pretty unimpressed with him.
Anyway, I've been doing the exercises, and I feel better. The hop pain is still there, but I can feel that my muscles are getting stronger, and the extra support they will provide will certainly help.
