Way to dry.

Despite it being spring, we have not had enough rain. Today George and I took an unplanned impromptu drive. We went through a new subdevision with a mix of empty lots, houses under construction and fully completed homes. During our rounds, I could not only see, but smell smoke. No flames, so safe to say the fire itself was contained or far enough away from civiliation. I had a lot of fun. George enjoyed it too. He wanted to get out of the house for a few hours, and we did.

Glad you enjoyed your outing. A fire is the last thing you need there.

I wish it would rain here. We got a little but that was weeks ago. It's going to be hot and dry again and fires all around. I get so tired of it. Sometimes they come much too close. I envy you your drive. I have wanted to see how the new bridge in South Boise looks. It was redone and widened nearly ten years ago, and I still haven't made it over there to see it. It's rough when you don't drive.

Do you know where the smoke came from?
