Man, it's 4:01 already...

God works things out His way... I went to the Health Center pharmacy to pick up my pills, and did so. I went to the bus stop outside it, but didn't know if I could get home in time, as I was thinking that my case worker was going to come at 11. It took a little too long for the bus to get there for me, so I started walking. I went three blocks, stopping at each bus stop and looking back to see if a bus was coming (sometime on this walk I did see a bus going the other direction). Finally, at the third stop I turned and here the bus was coming. On the bus, I commented on a lady's walking shoes, and after she answered I told her and the lady she was with that I had walked to the bus stop from the Health Center. Their reaction to that was something like "You walked all the way from the Health Center!?" and the lady whose shoes I had commented on offered me a bottle of water out of her bag. When I got home it was something like 11:01. My case worker hadn't come by 11:30, so I thought she must have something else to do and left to go downtown and get my phone. It took me a while to find the right street--I thought I knew the way to go but evidently was wrong. After some walking I stopped at a store and asked a lady how to get to 2nd Street. She told me, and I went and found the phone repair place. My phone was ready, and I paid the rest of my bill and walked back to the bus transit mall--at one point trying to text my case worker, as I saw a message from her saying she would be there at 2 p.m. To my surprise (because the phone battery was at 1%) I was able to text her back and explain that I was downtown waiting for a bus. She said she could pick me up, so I told her I would meet her at the Grocery Outlet a little ways away from the transit mall. It wasn't long before she'd picked me up, and I told her I had planned to go to the library to pick up some books, and she drove me there and waited while I went in. It turned out that I only had two books ready, not four like I thought. I got the two and went back out. My case worker drove me home, and we had our chat, and now I am sitting here posting. I read a bit in one of the books while the computer was warming up. So, that's been my day. My legs hurt, particularly my "mildly osteoarthritic" right knee. I had better sleep well tonight. Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

That is certainly one way to get your steps in.

I’m glad your phone is working and you were able to talk to your case worker.
