When It Storms All Night...

You take advantage of a rainy night by having a quiet, intimate date night at home!
The little lady and I had planned on going out on Saturday night, but it was storming pretty badly last night, so instead we decided to stay in, grab a bottle of wine, and watch a chick-flick on Netflix.
We watched "People We Meet on Vacation," which I surprisingly liked better than I thought I would. Maybe it was the good company, or the wine, but either way it was an enjoyable movie.

You asked me what I did last night, and I really had to think about that one. I watched some of the NBA playoffs since the OKC Thunder were beating the Lakers.
Your evening sounds very enjoyable! I’m glad you both got to relax and just enjoy the night.

I didn’t even know the NBA playoffs were happening right now! Lol
I’m not a fan either f the NBA at all, but I do love college basketball.

@moffittjc I’m more of a football person, but I feel compelled to watch the NBA these days due to the Thunder winning last year.

@AmbiePam In your case, you have a local team to pull for. I would probably do the same if I had a hometown team to root for, even if I didn’t like the sport.
But I will say, I hate the Lakers, so I hope the Thunder knock them out of the playoffs!

@moffittjc — I could stand to watch that again while I’m in a war movie mindset. I need to dig out Von Ryan’s Express and watch it, too. (Worthless trivia: the flight jacket Sinatra wore in that film was the same one Bob Crane wore in Hogan’s Heroes.)

@Shavkat I don't usually go on myLot at night before I go to sleep, because then I will end up going to sleep much later than I anticipated. I mostly catch up on myLot early in the morning after I wake up.

That is great that you made the most of it.
You are such an upbeat and positive person, I wouldn't expect anything less.
Last night we had our twin granddaughters until about 8:30, as we babysat here, and after that we went to bed to watch TV together. I nodded off pretty quickly, and cannot even remember what was on.

@moffittjc It was fun, and they are funny.
They start to junior kindergarten in September, and part of me gets a little nervous thinking that they are going to grow and mature and meet new friends and learn new things and forget about their old grandparents or want to spend time with us. But, when I was kissing them goodbye in their carseats in the back of Daddy's truck, they both said that they wanted me to come for a sleepover. Isn't that hilarious?
Maybe I am worried about nothing.

@Juliaacv You shouldn’t worry, grandkids will always have a special love for their grandparents. I know I was that way with mine, and I know my kids are the same way with their grandparents. It’s a special kind of relationship.

Son and I along with a friend went out for Mexican, of course we had to have a Margarita. That was really more like late afternoon though.
