Thankful Today

I am so thankful for so many things today. Do you feel like naming some yourself? I am thankful my stepmom’s son-in-law is walking, sitting in a chair and drinking coffee after his quadruple bypass last Wednesday. I’m thankful I have a stepmom who thinks my dad hung the moon, and I’m thankful for a few days of cooler weather that is good for my electricity bill. I’m thankful my best friend found a place to live, and that I can count several of you as my friends as well. I’m thankful for so many things, and hope you have several things you can think of too.

I woke up. In my own bed. I was able to get up and get dressed without assistance. I have a car where I can go where I please without having to rely on someone else. I have an eye appointment today that I’m not worried about regarding them telling me bad news. I’m getting ready to take my medication: five pills, with one more at night. There are people half my age who have to take twice that number of pills three times a day. 
Yeah, those are just the self-centered blessings that come to mind at the moment.

Oh yes, I mentioned all my thankfulness surrounding son, also just thankful in general that things seem to have a way of working out for me. Also, thankful my parents seem to be doing well.

I'm thankful for our friendship 
It's wonderful to hear that your stepmoms son in law is doing well after his surgery and that your friend found a place to relocate
I'm always thankful for my family and that everyone was here yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day. I am so proud of my kids and that the struggles of being a single mom paid off and the sacrifices were well worth it. I'm thankful that I'm so loved and visiting me isn't a chore but fun.
