So I did it yesterday. Last night's training was ladder operations and I did it. I did three ladder climbs out of four and while I have been beating myself up about it, it's also really good for me as I have a fear of heights. Today is going to be a good day. I have computer work to do today...obviously lol. Then around 8am I'll be heading down Chris's to sit with her grandmother. We had an amazing talk yesterday and it was amazing to see the switch flip. She said that she's hear me talk about everything we're doing between mom's house and grams but now she can actually see it and she was just amazed. We're prepping for the yard sale this Saturday. The shop will be open during this time as well so hopefully there's a great turn out. The goal is to be able to get the floor done. It's a long shot but I'm hopeful. We have a Rescue Squad meeting tonight and I always enjoy those. I love seeing everyone. I have more respect there than I do in Fire. I'm not sure what the difference is. Maybe they don't see me as a kid or something...I don't know. I think Chris sees me in a different light now. It's funny what owning a home will do to people's perspective of you lol. The shop I'm hoping will pick up soon. I need to get more regular tumblers but other than that I'm just pushing Father's Day, Graduation as that's next week here and the Fourth of July. I'm still hoping to be able to get a laser at some point. I also still need a book lol. I got wrapped up in talking to Chris yesterday then when she left got wrapped up in organizing the D's that I didn't get a new book. I feel weird now lol. I'm slowly getting a decent routine together I think. We're getting closer to having everything settled and the closer we get the more free time I have to do other stuff. It's funny when you step back and look at Chris and I, we're in the same place. The only difference right now is that she is downsizing the land she has and I gained it. But I like it lol. We trim trees and push back some stuff but for the most part it's like a barrier. Things are going to get better. They will start to look up. We're getting there and I just have to remember that it takes time and we can save the money. What is everyone else up to today? This morning is pretty chilly but I know it'll warm up again. Freeze in the morning and sweat in the afternoon lol.
