Bank is closing for 3 months

I had a check to pay into my bank this morning and when I went to the desk the lovely girl in there told me that they were closing at the end of this month for a total refurbishment.....waste of money if you ask me as everything seems fine to me , but hey ! not my decision ....although it's my money they will be using ....LOL.
Anyway, its going to be closed for three months ...I think that's an awful long time, as its really not that big a branch.
Never mind, I guess it will look nice when its done.
I am going to move some money over to that account as I don't want the hassle of going to other branches during those three months .
If your bank closed for 3 months how far would you have to travel to use the next nearest branch ?

You are lucky ….the nearest to me is two buses and over an hour away.

@AmbiePam I know ….thats why I’m grateful the lady on the desk told me so I can transfer some money over …then I can still pay using the app. Otherwise I’d be really stuck….

@traceyjayne The closest branch of my bank is in my pocket and goes everywhere with me. I rarely go into a real bank and would have to take a 30 minute train journey to get to it.

@Traceyjayne Yes, I lodge cheques on my phone - who would have thought? But then who would have thought that you could photographed your dinner on the phone. That reminds me ….

I did find out today that I can pay cheques in through the app ….i might find that useful…..my Mom uses a cheque book.

That's terribly inconvenient. It would be quite a distance to another branch.

My nearest branch is quite a long way from where I live….a pain to get to.
