There is a circulating news here in my country that the brownout that happened last night might not be the first.

The news said that it could be the start of a rotational brownout within the metro, meaning the capital of my country plus some other provinces.
That is not good news at all.
I remember when I was a kid, we had a rotating brownout during the summer, but that was a long time ago, and now we are going back there.
I hope this will not be the case again.

So far, nothing like that has happened in my area yet. I hope they find a way to avoid it, especially in the middle of summer when we need electricity to keep our homes cool. I’m curious about what caused this problem, especially since the capital city is already affected. Usually, it’s the provinces that get hit by power shortages, and we rarely experience this issue here.

Just now
@rakski That is bad sign for this government. I think the pil price has some effect on this problem why they could not generate enough energy for the whole island. Am just glad that in my place we have not experienced any power interruptions yet but there was an announcement that we may experience in our area anytime soon. :(

During Aquino's government, there was an everyday brownout from morning to afternoon, which is why generators were in demand at that time.
I hope this will not happen again.
