You may remember the fun and games I had last week , when i was invaded by a million caterpillars ....maybe not quite a million ...Well, The Mister found out that it was them crazy critters that had killed off a bush in our front garden.
He didn't know at the time it was them, he just cut some of the dead bits out , not knowing the caterpillars were cunningly hiding themselves, ready to jump out and scare the living wotsits out of me !
So he has taken up the whole bush now and it was in the bin ready to be emptied.
He is working away, but saw me on the camera when I got home yesterday looking all around and inside the bin to make sure all the flipping things had really gone !
Pleased to say that they have all gone now .....
Big sigh of relief from me !
Thank you for living through this with me ! .....hasn't it been fun ! NOT !

This sounds like the invasive box tree moth. They are a massive problem and in most cases the only 'solution' is to get rid of any box and replace with some other type of shrub.
I've been fighting an infestation on my little box hedge for the past three years. I basically have to go and pick dozens of caterpillars off every day or two. So far it's still alive but it is an incredibly time-consuming and soul-destroying job, when there are literally thousands of them (the hedge is only about 10 metres long and I picked off about three thousand caterpillars the first year). And there are two broods a year.
