I won't be repeating that experience live and learn

So, yesterday when I was out running around..seeing a movie, getting my hair cut etc. I found myself in the Kroger marketplace shopping center which includes a Panda Express drive thru. Now, although it used to be ubquitious in mall food courts across the US other than those little pieces of chicken on the stick they used to pass out, I have never had it. I had wanted to go to this place ever since I saw it several months ago. So, anyway..the first incident was I wanted to get ice tea..but was thirsty and they had these lovely unusual purple drinks..somehow I couldn't talk myself out of it, and went with the pomegranet pineapple combo..which I am sure was more sugar than I need..although it was pretty refreshing.
During the time of ordering the drink I noticed the attendant did not speak English well at all. It was really frustrating. It would be like me learning a few Chinese phrases and being placed in a McDonalds in Bejing trying to converse with the customers. Anyway, They had no meals that included everything like most CHinese places do at least on their lunch menu. Everything was ala carte..even the rice, which was expensive...Who makes you pay separately for rice? The idea! I did not get any. I got spring rolls and a small Kung Pao chicken, which I didn't like as it was too hot and was loaded with those peppers a couple of which I ate and got zinged. It also had few peanuts which is my favorite part. Anyway, I won't be going back.

@snowy22315 - Surely not an experience you are going to repeat.

I know it's crazy and the rice wasn't even inexpensive. I mean a restaurant would be using those big bags, and the cost per serving would be almost non existent to them.

I get it! Some restaurants here too charge too much for the extra rice as well

It probably depends on what you order. I will stick to my local places, or ones that aren't a rip off.

I did, maybe my expectations were too high, but I was not impressed.
