This week, Kenya is among nations commemorating Fistula awareness, control and treatment. Among activities in place are free counselling to the affected, free medical camps with free checkup and surgery services. Most media houses are also passing sufficient information and encouraging everyone affected to seek free help in medical camps.
Among causes of fistula include sexual abuse, early marriages / pregnancies and prolonged labour. We hope by the end of the week a lot will have been realized in as far as dealing with the problem is concerned. The awareness week ends on Many 2nd.

I've heard about this as a big problem in third world countries. It's a devastating condition for those who suffer from it.
