The International Banana Museum is located in Mecca, California. It features over 25,000 banana themed items. It has remained closed since the COVID-19 pandemic. It was famous for its gold-sequined Micheal Jackson banana, a banana bar where you could get a banana split or banana flavored ice cream, and unique memorabilia such as a banana mobile (a VW bus). It also holds the Guinness World record for the largest collection devoted entirely to one fruit.
