Today the temperature at noon here was 46 C. I was talking to one of my friends.
Suddenly my friend rushed towards the road. He caught a man who was going somewhere. The man was heavily perspiring and dragging his feet. He was stumbling. He brought the man in my store. We offered him a chair, gave him a glass of water. It appeared he was going to faint.
My friend took him out of the shop and poured a big jug of water on his head. He came to senses. We brought him in the shop and made him seated on the chair.
I asked my wife to mix lemon juice with a glass of cold water.
After he regained his senses we asked him where he was from and where he was going.
He told us he was from a village about 7 kms away from the town and was going to see his relative who works here.
He told us he thought he would easily reach his relative's house despite high temperature. But what happened was beyond his imagination.
He would have fainted on the road had my friend not seen him.

Thank you, my friend. Yes,it was my friend who saw him. The man was stumbling badly and was about to collapse when my friend held him. What that guy did was a foolish act. He ventured out in such a scorching heat with a confidence that he would walk seven kms easily. I hope he must have become wiser now.

@Ineeddentures I don't think he was used to heat. Why he was about to fall senseless?? He had covered a long distance.

But he must have been used to the heat, wasn't he and he would surely have known exactly what to expect

Thank you. You are right. My friend was there and reAlised that the man was not in a good condition. I was then busy managing my shop even as talking to him. He saw the man who was going to succomb to the temperature.
When the man recovered, we both took him to his relative by car.

People don't realize how easily heat exhaustion can strike you. Even if you're well hidraded, if you're not taking measures to cool yourself down it hits fast and hard. I'm glad he's okay.

Thank you, my friend. What the man did was a misadventure. He ventured out when it was extremely hot and believed he would easily cover 7 kms. I hope now he must have got wiser.

I am glad your friend is very fast to notice the man. It could be fatal or a stroke if you guys did not give him an immediate remedy.

Thank you. Yes, the credit goes to my friend. He saw the man stumbling and caught him in time when he was going to collapse. Otherwise he would have fallen somewhere on the road. I think this incident must have made him wiser.

With that much heat it is important to be very careful. I am glad you were able to help him recover, both you and your friend.
