A fun new student. / myLot

I have a new piano student who is a lot of fun. He is 5-years-old and a quick learner. He's been with me for a couple of months. He can already play most of "Carol of the Bells," in addition to kid standards like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Happy Birthday." A couple of weeks ago, he showed up in big nerdy glasses, like mine. Now he is enjoying reading the music I write for him. Many kids are slow to learn the art of reading music. We'll finish up "Carol of the Bells." Then we'll see what's next. Any "new" excitement in your world? Photo is of a kid I worked with about 10 years ago. He was maybe two at the time.

Kids do learn quickly. Especially if they have a good tutor like you

I was gonna say, that’s a tiny five-year-old!

No excitement. I have three doctors appointments (technically, two dental and one doctor) next Wednesday, so that’ll give me all the excitement I need. (They’re all at the VA, so it’s not like I have to drive all over town for the appointments.)
