I Like The Smell of Bleach

Bleach is a pleasant smell to me. It denotes cleanliness and a germ-free environment Yesterday when we walked into the Alzheimer’s Care Facility to visit my mother in law we were greeted by the fresh smell of bleach, which we appreciated. As @xfiacre can attest to, there are far worse smells often emanating from nursing home types of facilities. Do you like the smell of bleach?

No, it irritates my sinuses. I remember watching an episode of My Strange Addiction, and a woman was addicted to the smell of bleach because she thought it denoted cleanliness. The crew of the show walked in her house, and had to run back out. The smell of bleach was so overpowering the crew couldn’t take it. And she was so used to the smell she couldn’t detect it anymore.

Bleach for me is great to clean out bad smells. I like the small of bleach if the smell is mild.

I don’t mind it, and like you I appreciate the fact that it signals cleanliness. However, it makes my asthma act up if it’s too strong.

@looeyville It’s a reassuring smell to detect upon entering a care home, though sometimes I think they might just splash it around a bit to mask the other smells.

No, not for me although I'd prefer to the others you mention - or don't mention, but suggest.
