….And even any non-MyLotters who come across this post (also, it’s free to join, so come on over)! For someone whose alarm went off at 7:45 am, I’m certainly in a good mood, at least for now. I hope it stays that way lol.
My younger sister and I were supposed to go to the gym, but we opted to walk around the park instead. We usually chat, but this time, we both wore our earbuds (and were aware of our surroundings, don’t worry). I listened to more of Stephen King’s “Carrie.” I downloaded it to listen to offline, and it did bookmark where I left off, but I’m not sure WHERE I’m at. It doesn’t exactly announce the chapters, at least I don’t think it does. It doesn’t matter, I’ll check it later.
Anyway, I did get a little warm and tired, but I think I did well. We walked for about 48 minutes. When you add in my walk to and from the coffee shop, that’s not bad. I may walk back and forth in the living room tonight just to bring it up to an hour. It’ll only be about 4 minutes, assuming I get a ride to the laundromat later. If we have to walk, then that’ll just fill in the gap (and then some).
Back to the park, I think walking through nature and getting some fresh air did me good. I would love to do it more often, just not alone. If nobody in my house wants to go, I might see if my younger sister does sometime, as long as it’s early. She doesn’t live in the city, but she works in the city, and she’ll sometimes go to the gym during her breaks. I’ll talk to her later.
So anywho, I’m at the coffee shop now. I was home for about 10-20 minutes before packing up and heading out. I needed to cool off and freshen up. Once I post this, I’ll get started on my work. It picked up in the middle of the day yesterday, so I didn’t finish everything on my list, but I think I should be able to knock out a few today. It’s only 11 am, and I’m not leaving until around 4ish.
I don’t necessarily want to leave an hour before close, but our washer is broken, so I need to go to the laundromat. My niece’s bosses at her second job offered us their set (there’s nothing wrong with it, they just don’t need it), so hopefully, my brother-in-law can take it (and soon). But until then, I need to go to the laundromat because I didn’t get to wash my usual weekend load. I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long, but I also know how to keep myself occupied.
When I get home, I’ll put my laundry away, sweep the yard, make tomorrow’s lunch, etc., you know, the usual, and then I might lounge for the rest of the night. Depending on how I’m feeling, I might watch a movie, but we’ll see. I’m leaning towards the original “Carrie” since I’m listening to the audiobook, but I might just throw on The Golden Girls and go to sleep. I’ll play my evening by ear.
In other news, I need to go back through my May posts and catch up on my unanswered notifications. I’ll either do that throughout the week or just on Friday (instead of posting). But we’ll see.
Okay, it’s time to get some work done! You all have a great day, stay safe, and take care! :)

48 minutes plus errands and everything else adds up more than it feels like in the moment. Hope the rest of your workday goes smoothly and you get a bit of downtime tonight.

I love audiobooks! I am eligible for BARD from the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, though I didn't bother with it after my childhood and I just let my service run out, but last year I made sure my registration was up to date, and I'm getting dozens of books now! I'm planning on listening to Seinfeldia, which is the history of the sitcom Seinfeld, as well as Little Miss Dynamite, the Brenda Lee autobiography, though that new Cher autobiography looks great too!
