The pine cedar deodar trees grow similarly in tropical hilly forests

Generally alpine forests are related to cold weather as with lapse rate at height of 7000 feet forests have pine, cedar, rhododendron, deodar trees. But in the east in the tropical hilly forests also they grow well. The difference is that it is not cold at all in the hilly forests.
