Have you tried Lupini beans?

In Portugal, people call these beans tremoços. And, they are quite popular in Portuguese food. They usually serve tremoços as a side dish or snacks. They taste like cooked soybeans soaked in salt water.

I never saw Lupini beans in my country of origin. I knew these beans only when I first came to Portugal.

I don't think these beans are common anywhere else other than in Europe. In Europe, Lupini are considered everyday snacks in Mediterranean cultures. I never heard or saw these kind of beans either before I went to Portugal.
Perhaps you can try to look for these beans at the health store or Italian or Spanish Shop in US.

i only like green and yellow beans in my stew. i haven't tried these.
