Where are the neighbors?

It was never my dream to live in an apartment and in close quarters with others but hey life doesn't always work out the way we want or expect. I learned pretty quickly that everyone pretty much knows everyone else's business--at least those who live in the same building. It is like some kind of hobby. There's been a lot of turnover in this building over the years. I get along with almost everyone (aside from Smokey McSmokerson). It is just easier to be pleasant to people when you have to see them all the time. I was thinking about it before though--there are several people I haven't seen in months. The pothead is one. I'm not upset about that. I haven't seen his mother, though, and her car hasn't moved in weeks. There is a younger couple who lives directly across the landing from me. Her car moves regularly so I know she is working. Her boyfriend's car hasn't moved since I got back and I haven't seen him. I hope he is okay. Obviously they didn't break up or his car wouldn't still be here. And then there is the Moroccan. I haven't seen him in ages either. That's a shame because we used to have fun just sitting and talking. I miss sitting out on the landing with him and his cousin (RIP). I can't even say that it will be like I'll see them all more now that the weather is nice because none of them hang out at the pool. Oh well I guess not seeing them all is better than fighting with them all.
