Anyone remember a time when The Simpsons was only a thirteen-episode series and a pile of 48 or so cartoon shorts? Well, around the time that first season came to an end and the second was about to begin, this nifty little album was released, complete with collaboration with everyone from Michael Jackson to B.B. King to Joe Walsh. This album predates the similar Flintstones album by four years, despite The Flintstones being a much older show.

I remember this album. I know I had this one plus their actual soundtrack. Big Simpson fan back in the day.

Actually they had three soundtracks; in order, Songs in the Key of Springfield, Go Simpsonic, and Testify.

Me too, I guess slowly over time I have been replacing The Simpsons with more recent animated sitcoms, Family Guy and such.

That’s another album that was trashed by the critics, but people like Joe Walsh and B.B. King saw enough humor in it to play on it. So I’ll side with them instead of the critics.

I never really saw it getting trashed by the critics, especially since "Do the Bartman" charted in several places and I think it even had a music video, I think "Deep Deep Trouble" had a music video too.

I bought it when I was twelve, right after the 20th season ended so long after it came out, but most importantly, I bought it at Universal Studios Hollywood! Yeah, I was on The Simpsons Ride which had only been around for a year, and they had that little Kwik-E-Mart that was constantly showing The Simpsons on a screen, and they had a Homer keychain and that album, and I got them. I forgot what else they had, but that's what I got.
