Not the plan, but exactly what I needed

My plan yesterday was to go home early, have oatmeal for dinner, watch a K-drama, and sleep. I was even thinking of doing laundry right when I got home, then dinner, K-drama, and bed. But things turned out totally different hahaha. Yesterday, my ate came with her husband and kid to visit me at the office, so I asked my boss if I could leave early and she said yes. I brought them to the grocery store near us because everything there is super cheap. I told my nephew to grab whatever he wanted since it was his birthday, and I also bought groceries for our mom. I was planning to eat out after grocery shopping, but they had to rush because their trip home is still 16 hours away. They’re just here on vacation with her in-laws. Then my chief called and said I had to go back to the office after buying groceries for my mom because we were going out. So I just gave my nephew some cash instead and told him to buy food, then they dropped me off at the office. My boss was already at the venue, so my coworker and I just rode with the duty driver. We ate, had a few drinks, and even jammed with the band that was there. We all really enjoyed it. It was nothing like what I planned, but it’s okay. My heart’s happy because I was able to buy groceries for my mom and nephew, and I still got to chill with my bosses.
