Daily food dilemma

Everyone experiences cooking fatigue. Like it's the same thing you do everyday. Same recipe, same taste, same food lol. And during weekends you are just basically lazy to move and do cooking.
What is your absolute go-to meal when you have zero energy or time to cook? Do you usually opt to just order foods and eat ready meals?

I love cooking and don’t see it as a chore. However, I do occasionally “splash out” on a takeaway, just to see what I’m missing. Then I realise that the only thing I’m missing, is a large chunk of cash from my wallet. EX-PEN-SIVE

@Ineeddentures Ditto. I think they rush them. I like to take my time making a curry. A curry is too good to hurry

And the standard of take away has fallen - says it all when I can cook a curry better than any of the Indian take aways serve up

Cooking is not a chore
It's good fun
And it's a really rewarding thing to do.
I love seeing people enjoy what I have cooked
We don't eat ready meals.
We stopped buying takeaway away a while ago

Well I don't even mind cooking whilst o
n holiday
I am motivated to cook every day.
Nothing bad about ordering a ready meal or takeaway away at all, if you enjoy it all the better
But sadly I cannot order food as good as I can cook
And much I cook is quite unhealthy
But really tasty
Tonight I cooked Fish and chips
Batter on the Fish and everything cooked in Lard

@Ineeddentures well I’m just grateful I have something to eat, home meals or not. And much better if eating together with your loved ones.
Wow sounds inviting

Yeah I know. But what I meant was there are days that literally you don't want to like cook and just lazy.
I don't see anything bad from ordering ready meals once in a while. Especially in weekends after having a long week and treating yourself with unhealthy foods lol.

I agree! I feel that too sometimes and it's the reality lol. It's like I need a break from it. So I think ready meals aren't bad at all if it's just sometimes or when you don't feel like cooking. Besides, there are also ready meals that are healthy and can be customized according to your preference.

I think our go to meal is pot pies or tacos. A lot of it depends on when we're going to be able to eat between meetings and classes during the week and this fall will be worse.

@k_krist For me it depends on what I've eaten lately. I can't have a lot of acid and spicy food at once. I have to be aware.
