Early in our marriage my husband decided he was a prankster, and I will admit, I enjoy pranking also. But there was this thing he would do that just irritated the heck out of me.
His job required a lot of traveling and if he happened to be close to our area he would stop in quickly for coffee or a snack or something.
I never knew when these stops would be. But anyhow he would come in and let out this high pitched secream. It always scared the bejesus out of me. I'd take off running towards wherre I heard the scream. I must say here that if I was in the foyer or some place where he could see me he wouldn't scream. Jerk! But anyhow I soon learned that this screaming might happen and wasn't so scared, more mad then scared. I told him he was going to cause me to fall over with a heart attack one of these days. He still screamed though.
One day I was out in the yard, hanging clothes on the clothes line. I didn't see of hear my husbands vehicle but i did hear the scream. I took off running towards the house but then realized what was going on. I threw the clothes basket across the lawn and positioned myself face down on the lawn.
I had to be still, I knew he would come looking for me. I heard the back door screen open and shut and my husbands trek across the lawn. "Oh God, Oh God." he was saying. I was suppressing a giggle. He bent down and touched me and I rolled over and gave him a huge smile.
He never, ever screamed after that. I broke that prank right in half.

He deserved that. I don't mind pranks but screaming would get tiresome
