Made Me Wish I Was in an Irish Pub

Imagine you’re enjoying a beer at the Half Moon Pub in St. Clement's, Oxford, England. There is traditional Irish music, and someone gets up to sing the traditional folk song “Handsome Molly," and then you get bug-eyed realizing that the person singing is no other than Sir Mick Jagger, who it appears likes to surprise people with appearances at pubs, and why not? He’s enjoying life to the fullest at his young age of 82 along with his partner, a ballerina named Melanie, aged 38.

Dang, he’s got underwear older than 38. That is cool when that happens. I was seeing a band in Bloomington, Indiana; and, while John Mellencamp didn’t show up, his drummer did.

You can almost turn reverse their age numbers and have them the same. Only better thing to imagine is if you were in Ireland itself in a pub. But then....I am originally Irish, so you know why I say that.

@RasmaSandra We sang Oh Danny Boy as they carried my Dad's coffin across the old country cemetery to our family plot. It was so moving, and yet so right.

I also love the way the musicians just get back to their music afterwards!

@Ineeddentures Well it certainly isn't his looks. I guess he's still full of life and fun? Who knows, I've never met him!

Afterwards?? If I was Mick I'm not sure the music would be my priority How does he do that, attract a 38 year old hottie like her. She must have grandaddy issues

@Ineeddentures depends on the people. Glad for Mick and would love to sing with him at a bar, Age is just a number but it also depends on the people, My first marriage my husband was 20 years older and I started hating him, Then met Martin my soulmate in Latvia and we had the same age difference my parents had which was 6 years. I'm sorry that time flew by so quickly,

@RasmaSandra Aye I suppose a big age difference can cause some problems As you say it depends on the people If it had not been for a breakdown in marriage you might not have met Martin
