I had seen it before, but yesterday I watched the gripping movie 127 Hours with James Franco in the role of Aron Ralston..the young outdoorsman who fell in Blue John canyon in SE Utah and got his arm trapped by a boulder. He eventually realized his only method of escape was to break and cut off the lower part of his arm. Quite gripping tale of survival. I guess none of us know what we are truly capable of until it happens to us.

I probably would have passed out and not been able to do it, that’s for sure.

Ouch! I can't seem to dare cut my arms. But it's true we could do things we never imagine if the situation ask for it. Just like when there's flood happens then a heavy refrigerator got easily transfer to a higher location by just one person. Then, only realized it when he need to return it to where it used to be but now he can't no longer carried it alone.

Very true, nothing that we can even contemplate seriously unless we are faced with the situation.

He was just mad at himself the whole time for not telling anyone where he was going or when he would be back He considered it supremely selfish and of course stupid.
