Yes I’m still binge watching Judge Judy.
The plaintiff was a bride who arranged a party bus to take the bridal party around
The defendant was supposed to provide a bus for 30 people. But that bus broke down so she sent one that would hold 20 people
The bridal party couldn’t all fit in the bus
The defendant’s defense was that the people in the bridal party were too fat and it wasn’t her fault

It doesn't matter. She asked for and paid for a bus for 30 people. If the person renting out the bus didn't have another that would hold 30 people, then she needed to rent one from somebody else without charging the plaintiff more money. A contract, even a verbal contract, is still a contract.
I really dislike Judge Judy. She doesn't always follow the rules of law.
