I was at a music fest last Friday at my sons' school. I was literally so tired and feeling sick and that I was planning not to go. But in the morning my eldest son told me that he's gonna play the keyboards. So to my excitement to watch him play, all my tiredness was gone lol. It's just a little annoying that he just told me on the spot that's he's a participation in the music fest. But yeah so happy to see him in the stage. I was also basically running and looking after for my younger son whole day lol. It was a tiring but wonderful day. I'm glad I was there for them.

It’s amazing, because I saw it with my late mother, how you get a burst of “can do” when it comes to their kids.

@rakski that’s so true! My eldest son, who will turn 12 this July, is starting to hang out at his friends’ house. But I’m happy they’re becoming independent.

That sounds like one of those days where you almost don’t go, but then end up being so glad you did.
