I cannot recall when my last blood donation was. I do remember donating when my uncle was and in need, so I gave blood at the hospital. Donating a unit of blood causes the body to lose some blood, but can also promote better health by triggering the body’s regulation processes. This replenishment process produces fresh blood, allowing the body to naturally repair and renew itself.

I donated blood from the time I was 16 and old enough to donate blood until I was diagnosed with cancer when I was told I couldn't donate anymore. I tried to donate blood when a friend was in an accident a few years ago but some of the medications I have to take disqualified me from donating.
