Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
Before I even start, sorry if this is a TL;DR situation lol
I haven't shared a health journey update in a while. So, I thought I would catch up, and also share what I am trying to get working on ASAP.
So my last doctor appointment was earlier this month. My A1c went up 0.1% which was not bad at all, especially since the last test before it was 6 months ago. However, if I do conceive the doctor wants me to get it under 6%
I am hoping I get my positive this month, but if not really hoping for July.
Either way, I need to get working on getting my sugars under better control - well they are in good control if I wasn't trying to conceive...but that is besides the point.
Eventually, I would like to get back on a low carb lifestyle. I did get my A1c down to a 5.6 when I had stuck to it for 3 months straight. That was before I became dependent on insulin though. I am thinking I may need to go all the way to carnivore.
I can't jump straight into that though because I would get bored of it, and tired of just meat, eggs, cheese etc. so fast.
So what I need to focus on currently is cutting down carbs to a certain amount (say less than 150) and then cut them down each week or two until I get to a good place of where they should be. Also, start intaking more protein. A lot more.
I should also try to slowly add in working out, maybe even just 5 minutes a day on the stationary bike (it's like a peleton bike) to start.
Hoping that if I haven't conceived this cycle, that starting to lose some weight and getting inflammation under control will help with that.
What do you think? Also, if you know me...no I won't be adding veggies! lol
Should I start sharing my foods, blood sugars, weigh ins and all that again?
Image is mine - an art I did a while back when I started my trying to conceive journey.

Losing weight will make a big difference in your sugar levels and can even help with conceiving

Not sure if I can even lose while taking so much insulin.

Getting your sugar under control is definitely a good move. You have a lot to do to keep healthy and it's obvious you are willing to take the plunge. Good luck in your journey

I hope, but it's hard when it's an addiction. And when I'm so picky. I don't even like meat that much lol.
