How can a man deal with a hot day while wearing a costume?

We went to a public square yesterday after lunch. It was crowded with people, and among them, we spotted a giant panda. Of course, there was someone inside it. My husband told me he felt bad for the poor guy in the costume. His boss must have asked him to wear it on such a boiling hot day; he was probably cooking inside there! I replied that it might have been his own choice to wear it. Either way, the panda attracted many curious children. We left after about 15 minutes because it was so hot and there was nothing else to see. I wonder how the guy inside the costume dealt with the hot day. Do you have any ideas?

i like pandas but dressing as one. i mean, this person is getting paid but if you're not good with the heat, it must be hard.

@Ayu2026 i hope that too. also, i saw on youtube that some people can molest you when you are in that suit, shove you, making fun of you and similar. i hope that's not the case here.

@valherma00 That is so terrifying. I didn't know about that. It's really upsetting that anyone, regardless of their gender or what they are wearing, can be vulnerable to something like that. I mean, who really knows what gender is inside the costume.

They have personal, clip on fans you can wear inside those, but still, it’s got to be unbearably hot inside that. I really hope he was paid well for his job, but I doubt it was enough to compensate for it.

Yes, I hope so. If he had not gotten paid well, he wouldn't have taken the job.

@Ayu2026 Here people take the job not if it pays well, but just because they are desperate.

@AmbiePam That is so sad. Does your government try to help ease their lives? Well, in my country, the government subsidizes many basic daily needs, such as eggs, sugar, oil, rice, and gas.

Yes, it did. I guess the guy in the panda costume gets used to the heat.

That was what I thought about, too. There might be a kind of a small air conditioning inside his costume.
