The Uffizi gallery in Florence, Italy is famous for having among its exhibition such artists as Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, and Michelangelo. It features an award-winning program for the blind called "Uffizi by Touch" that allows the blind and the visually impaired visitors to explore masterpieces independently. It features 15 original ancient Roman and Greek sculptors, and 3D tactile reliefs of paintings like Botticelli's Birth of Venus. The museum admission is free to the blind and visually impaired and also includes specialized tactile books featuring other famous paintings.
