After work today there was a meeting for club advisors. There were fewer people than I was expecting. It was good to see that my new coworker will be advising a club--the Green Team.
I didn't do any events obviously while I was away and also over the past month. There wasn't much interest in doing anything. I'm sure it will come back with a bang in September though after the summer break and new members join.
The meeting was only about 20 minutes but I walked out of there looking forward to getting back at it with the students in the fall. I will spend some time this summer working on plans for future projects. It is tough because we have limited space and equipment but hopefully I can work out some stuff.
Typically we meet 1 day for 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes it is shorter. We also did 2 days back-to-back when we needed time for the cinnamon roll dough to proof.
What do you think teenagers would like to do/learn if the join the Baking Club?

That is fantastic. Did you ever do that idea of pizza? Kids are so crazy about pizza I imagine they’d be psyched about those. And do “bird’s nests” count as baking? You do put those in the oven, right? I really don’t remember. I loved making those with my mom when I was a kid.

Teens would be daydreaming of attending a concert of their favorite artist.

Best of luck to you with that. Get creative with making up their own kind of stuff,
