My Mom Used to do This

My mom used to drink a lot of coffee. I remember she had this coffee cup shaped like half a cup and I thought that was so cute. She had this thing she would do in the heat of summer. For a light pick me up in the afternoon she would fix herself a cup of iced coffee. Instead of regular ice cubes she would pour the remainder of the coffee from the day before into ice cube trays. Then the next day she would have them to use for her afternoon coffee break. It would help to keep the beverage cool and not dilute the coffee. She was so ingenious, clever about things.
