So the supermarket where we go shopping every Thursday is joining in with the World cup theme. On the app they have given everyone a team. ….mine is Portugal …..anyway, you get a free gift connected to your given country.
So, today I had two Portuguese custard tarts.
There is not a lot of filling in them but they are nice enough for a freebie.
I wonder if you get more gifts the further your team gets in the competition. If so, I hope Portugal come second ….to England , of course.

@traceyjayne Oh I’m always up for a tart. Are they the pasteis de nata?
I discovered them in Lisbon and I haven’t been the same since. Great with a pinch of cinnamon on top and an espresso.

@Traceyjayne I commented out loud in a restaurant once, as a waitress walked by carrying someone’s dessert, “Isn’t that a lovely looking tart”. The glares of my wife and the waitress were enough to shut me up.
