Burning Desire for Purity…

I haven’t heard the Voice within for some times now…What it said to me this morning got me thinking and feeling defeated… How can anyone who grew up and survived in a deeply rooted corrupt culture have that “burning desire”? I do have aching hunger to purify my thoughts though…and that’s probably why I often feel like throwing up while witnessing the public servants in this country sabotaging one another…obviously stealing from its people…Theirs is a burning desire to bankrupt the country economically emotionally and spiritually… I heard yesterday the senate hearing on granting Filipino Citizenship to those who weren’t born here or those foreign nationals who fell in love with this beautiful country and the way of life here…I heard one of the Senators said that applicants must totally embrace the Filipino culture…I thought what culture? The bend the law culture?… The “pay under the table culture”?…To legalise illegal practices?…From what I heard and observed, those are the things that attract some foreigners to live in this country…Because they can get away with a lot of things here that they can’t get away with over in countries where they come from… The fact that I often feel stabbing pain in the chest and nausea, maybe a sign that I have burning desire for purity…Imposible dream..?? …………………

Corruption is very, very hard to combat. I'm sorry it's causing you so much distress.
