The hardest part of getting rid of ants once they have infested your home is finding where they are getting in. They will find the smallest crumb and then leave a scent trail for their friends. Once you've found where they have gotten in clean the entire area with vinegar. You can also put cinnamon down at the entry way. Spiders work the same way. They feed on smaller insects and love darkness and clutter. Eliminate those two elements and you won't see any those again. Keeping cleaning with vinegar and restrict clutter.

For the ants I sprinkle salt aroung the kitchen sink and taps, Just keep them from creeping around, From the Internet Using salt to get rid of ants is not effective for eliminating infestations. While salt may temporarily repel some ants, it does not kill them or destroy their nests. Experts suggest that salt can create a barrier to keep ants away, but it won't address the root of the problem

We had ants for the first time ever a few weeks ago. I cleaned everywhere, made sure they had no access to food & they disappeared as quickly as they came.
