Following a couple of less than desirable visits by friends of my mother in law who has Alzheimer’s, the family has made the decision that nobody can take MIL out from the memory care facility except for family. They can visit her, but not take her off campus.
I communicated this family decision very nicely to the two friends. One friend understood. The other friend is a witch and trying to cause trouble.
But bottom line is that the family has MIL best interest and duty to protect and can make these decisions
MIL told us yesterday that she doesn’t want any visitors that she can’t remember.

I think that is a great idea, I could just imagine some friends taking her out and then things could happen like even her wandering off,

@looeyville It’s such a responsibility taking someone with dementia out. I’m surprised anyone would take that risk.

I do not blame your MIL for not wanting any visitors that she does not remember.

That makes a lot of sense. Most, if not all of her friends are probably her age, and I doubt they can handle any sort of problems that could come up. If they care about her, they will go visit her there.

Keep her safe
So what you need to do
And make sure you are obeyed
Yes, make sure they comply
