I’ve never been part of the selfie craze. I rarely take them. What I do take are pictures of my bike leaning on stuff. And I have a lot of them.
This one was taken around 4-ish years ago. That’s my mountain bike, Agent Orange, with Lemmy, at Wax Trax Records in Denver, Colorado.
Lemmy Kilmister - a cool name for sure, but the larger-than-life Kilmister was better known only as “Lemmy.” Lemmy had a good gig going in the early 1970’s, serving as bassist/vocalist for cult space rock band Hawkwind (that’s Lemmy singing their trippy 1972 classic, “Silver Machine.”) Fired from the band after involving them in a drug incident at the U.S./Canadian border, Lemmy went on to form Motorhead, the legendary power trio that managed to unite the metal heads and the punk rockers. He passed away at age 70 in 2015.
Wax Trax Records has been a Denver staple since it was opened in 1975. Founders Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher sold the store in 1978, moving to Chicago to start the classic industrial music label, Wax Trax! Wax Trax specializes in indie music (that doesn’t mean you can’t pick up a Taylor Swift album there, though,) and in the 70’s was one of the only Denver-area record stores that actively imported punk music from England.
Lemmy is the only mural on the side of the store. As he should be!

That's really good! I am amazed by them. I don't have an artistic bone in my body.

@teamfreak16 When you're close up, you can see boats reflected in his eyes.
