I did share a few posts about my Copenhagen, Denmark visit that I did in late Jan and early Feb this year.
For some locations, the pictures were taken by my colleague.
I got them from him after some time.
Our Danish colleague and kind of guide took us to this famous church in Copenhagen.
It is located in the Frederiksstaden district, just a short walk north of Kongens Nytorv and directly down the street from Amalienborg Palace.
Known as "Frederik's Church" (Frederiks Kirke), also more commonly known as "The Marble Church" (Marmorkirken - also a Metro station); it is a major tourist spot in Copenhagen.
One can see a distinctive copper-green domeāone of the largest church domes in Europe.
Plus the prominent statues of historical theologians and biblical figures decorating the roof terrace around the drum.
Then another picture was taken inside the church.
I had asked my Danish colleague if it was Catholic but he replied it was of some other sect.
I need to find the name.
Has any of you been to this place?
Images were taken by my friend.

So well, "Kirken" seems to be a Latin word.

I remnember seeing this disinctive church but we only had a limid time there so never went to visit it. What made it so distinctive was the enormous dome. It looked beautiful.

May be some of the churches across mainland Europe had common architecture and who knows, may be same set of people building them!
It was very cold else we could have explored even more churches, palaces and other sites.

Quite a good number of Medieval period ones.
Remember, technically Denmark is a monarchy.
So even with reduced powers, Monarchs still dominate.
