Just a humorous idea: what if?
At $50 per robot, it is a bargain. Comes in a life-sized plain cardboard box. You know how the robot will look already. Once set up, charge it for 24 hours and then twice a day to keep it working. Voice activation does menial tasks, takes orders, and is a companion to its owner. If the robot should suddenly run amok, take out the batteries.
